Elisa said it has become the first operator in Finland to have a national network ready for NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) that is available in every Finnish municipality. Elisa’s NB-IoT network has been in use since last October, when it was tested by waste management company Enevo, as well as by HappyOrNot and Prisma Kangasala.

Vice president Petteri Svensson said Elisa already has dozens of customers using NB-IoT services and the number is constantly growing because of the countless applications. Elisa is now able offer these services throughout Finland, Svensson added.
